We respect your privacy and only collect data we need to fulfil orders, send confirmations, handle warranty claims, and meet our legal obligations. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.
1 — Who we are
Aquacrafts B.V. (trading as DinghyGo) is the data controller for all personal data processed via dinghygo.eu, dinghygo.com, and our transactional emails.

We are a small team and do not require a formal Data Protection Officer under AVG Art. 37. Contact info@dinghygo.com for any privacy question.
2 — What we collect
- Order data — model ordered, price, order number, date.
- Shipping address — name, street, postcode, city, country, phone.
- Billing data — name, billing address, email.
- Business identifiers (when ordering as a business) — company name, VAT number.
- Communication — email/WhatsApp/chat messages you send us, and our replies.
What we don't collect: payment card details. All card and bank-transfer data is handled by our payment providers (Stripe and Mollie) and never touches our servers.
3 — Why we use it (purposes & legal basis)
- Fulfil your order (Art. 6.1.b — contract) — process the order, ship the boat, send shipping notifications, handle returns.
- Comply with tax law (Art. 6.1.c — legal obligation) — issue invoices, keep VAT records, file OSS declarations.
- Warranty + after-sales (Art. 6.1.b/f) — identify your boat, send replacement parts, answer technical questions during the warranty period.
- Fraud prevention (Art. 6.1.f — legitimate interest) — review unusual orders (e.g. billing/shipping country mismatch on a high-value purchase).
We do not use your data for behavioural advertising, profile-building, or sale to third parties.
4 — Who we share with
Personal data is shared only with the processors needed to deliver your order or comply with the law:
- Payment — Stripe and Mollie (handle card and bank-transfer payments; PCI-DSS certified).
- Accounting — Silvasoft (invoicing) and WeFix Finance (our accountant).
- Email delivery — Resend (transactional emails like order confirmations and shipping notifications).
- Logistics — GML (our shipping partner in Venray), Raben (their forwarder), and the courier delivering to you.
- Distributors — only for orders in their territory: Friesland Watersport (NL), Ergodo Yachts (ES/PT), CERBERA (CZ/SK), Nestaway Boats (UK/IE), Sailing Awaits (US).
- Government — the Belastingdienst (Dutch tax office) and Douane (customs) when required by law.
All processors are AVG/GDPR-compliant and bound by data processing agreements. We never sell or rent your data.
5 — How long we keep it
- Fiscal records (invoices, orders) — 7 years, per Dutch tax law (Art. 52 AWR).
- Warranty contacts — 2 years after the warranty period ends.
- Email / chat conversations — kept while relevant; deletion on request.
- Account data (if you create an account) — until you delete the account.
6 — Your rights (AVG Art. 15-21)
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you (right of access).
- Correct inaccurate data (right to rectification).
- Delete your data where the legal retention period has passed (right to erasure).
- Export your data in a standard format (right to data portability).
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interest (right to object).
Send your request to info@dinghygo.com. We reply within 30 days (often the same week). If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
7 — Cookies
We use only functional cookies (cart state, language preference, session) — required for the site to work. No marketing cookies, no third-party tracking, no profiling. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
8 — Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when our processes change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes (e.g. adding a new processor or a new data category) will be announced via email to active customers.
